-Do you have a flex spending account?
A flex spending account (FSA) is a tax-advantages financial account that is set up through a cafeteria plan offered by an employer. Employees are allowed to set aside a portion of his/her pay for medical expenses. Money is deducted from the employee’s pay and put into an FSA where it is not subject to payroll taxes. This time of year we see an influx of customers using their flex spending account (FSA) to purchase luxury eyewear or to have vision correction surgery such as LASIK or PRK. Flex spend accounts are a great way to use the funds to purchase goods or services not covered by your insurance that may enhance your quality of life.  After all, our eyesight is our window to the world.

-We are excited to announce that through our partnership with The Projecting Hope Film Festival, Mission Vision, a non-profit providing eye exams and glasses for those in need, was able to earn over $4,000 in donations!  We thank everyone for stopping by to see us and to learn about the good work Mission Vision does throughout the Pittsburgh community and abroad.  Your donations will help us in our mission of providing eye exams and eyewear to those who otherwise could not afford them.   Your generosity is GREATLY appreciated.  Thanks again!  For more information about Mission Vision visit www.mission-vision.org.
